Simon Milner

Hospital Director

Simon joined Sulis Hospital in October 2021 following a career in the Independent Sector including Hospital Director positions in Nottingham, Worcester and Bristol as well as COO at HCA’s The Wellington Hospital, London. Simon has a clinical background (Intensive Care nursing), having trained in Bristol, holds an MBA and has practised as Head of Clinical Services in hospitals in both Australia and the UK. He has run his own business in the healthcare sector for 6 years as well as worked in interim roles across the NHS and Independent Sector gaining invaluable experience in the management of numerous organisations.

The opportunity to develop a site in conjunction with Royal United Hospitals Bath, and ultimately contribute to the wider BaNES and surrounding area is unique. Working in collaboration with the Trust, primary care providers and CCGs, Simon believes that Sulis has the opportunity to be a key contributor to the healthcare environment.

Good governance, safe and efficient care and the delivery of an outstanding service to all who come in contact with Sulis is paramount.


Jenny Anstey

Head of Nursing and AHPs

Jennifer Anstey is the Head of Nursing and AHPs at Sulis Hospital Bath. She joined the team in November 2019. Jenny trained as a registered nurse in North Devon District Hospital over 30 years ago and has worked in a surgical setting for the majority of that time. She was charge nurse in Florida, USA for two years on a general surgical ward, then completed her cardiothoracic ENB course at Papworth Hospital in Cambridgeshire. Jenny's qualifications include a BSc in Professional Nursing Studies and Research and an MSc in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care.

Jenny then moved to Bupa Hospitals in Bristol (now Spire) to continue caring for cardiac surgical patients and moved to a Matron post in Specialised Services at University Hospitals Bristol Foundation Trust in 2009, covering cardiology, cardiac surgery, haematology and oncology, but also working in surgery and gynaecology during that period. She spent a year in Community Nursing as a lead for Innovation, Safety and Research before joining the team here at Sulis Hospital Bath.


Sam Harrison

Head of Operations

Sam is the Head of Commercial Operations at Sulis Hospital Bath. He joined the hospital as the Business Development Lead in September 2018 before becoming the hospital's Head of Business Development and Marketing. Prior to this Sam has been involved in various commercial and marketing roles including serving over seven years as a marketer, four of which were spent with Spire Healthcare. He has extensive knowledge of promoting private healthcare services to key stakeholders and has implemented many large healthcare marketing campaigns across digital and traditional media.

He is also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional having completed a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and Business Management.


Hayley Lord

Head of Human Resources

Hayley is Head of HR at Sulis Hospital Bath. She joined the organisation in September 2019. Prior to Sulis, Hayley was Head of HR for a national environmental charity. She has over 20 years’ experience working within Human Resources in the private and voluntary sectors.

Hayley has a BA (Hons) degree from the University of Exeter and an MA in Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management, both from the University of the West of England.

Hayley holds Chartered Member status with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

By Car

Sulis Hospital is located 6 miles south of Bath city centre. Travelling from Bath, head south west on the A367. After you pass the Audi and Mercedes-Benz dealerships, on your left, take the first exit at the roundabout then turn left into Foxcote Avenue. Sulis Hospital is immediately on your right.

Parking

A visitors' car park is located directly in front of the hospital. This is free of charge to patients and visitors.

By Public Transport

The D2x bus service runs to Peasedown St John from Bath and Frome.
