Mr Andrew Carswell

Consultant ENT Surgeon

Andy is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical and surgical experience. He specialises in diagnosing and treating disorders of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. He is well-regarded for his thorough and reassuring approach to patient-centred care.

He has a particular interest in lumps in the neck; treating tumours of the throat, thyroid and parathyroid. He is a core member of the Bristol/Bath Head and Neck multidisciplinary team and also of the Bath Endocrine Multidisciplinary team.

After studying Medicine at Manchester University and early junior doctor training in the northwest, he returned to his native Bristol for further training in ENT Surgery. He completed his Higher Surgical training on the Southwest programme. At the end of this training, he was selected from a wide field of global applicants to be the Professor Coman, Head and Neck fellow, at the prestigious Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.
