Advanced Imaging Unit
Provides a wide range of diagnostic services across all modalities.
We know how important a fast and clear diagnosis is, which is why all scans are reported on and sent back to your referring consultant quickly to ensure diagnosis and treatment with reassured accuracy. Coming into hospital can also be daunting so we always try to schedule as many tests as possible on one visit.
World-class experts
Radiologists are doctors who specialise in using imaging technology to diagnose and treat people with a wide range of difficult-to-diagnose and complex conditions.
Successful treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis, and Sulis Hospital radiologists take the time to get it right.
Specialist expertise
Our clinical radiologists are part of a wider multidisciplinary team and work closely with our radiographers and consultants to provide a high-quality scanning service.
A team of specialists will listen to your needs and evaluate your condition to make the very best plan for you.
We offer a wide range of radiological services including interventional services across an increasing range of specialties. The following imaging services are available on-site and we use the latest generation CT scanner, designed to offer incredibly precise imaging while limiting the dose of radiation used.
CT - Computed Tomography
MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging
X-ray - general X-ray
Intra-operative Image Intensifier
Our dedicated team monitors how these advanced imaging technologies are used for your diagnosis and treatment, while at the same time reducing scan times when possible and enhancing comfort.
If you require further treatment, our team of highly experienced consultants and highly skilled nursing staff are here to advise and support you throughout your care.
Accessing private healthcare is easy, whether you choose to use your private medical insurance or pay privately.
You will be referred for a diagnostic scan by your consultant or healthcare professional since it is the most accurate way to diagnose your condition. The results of your scan will be available within a few days after a radiologist has examined and reported on the images.
While you wait for the results, you can go about your normal daily activities. The results of the scan can be discussed with your doctor or healthcare professional who referred you.
If paying privately, you may choose to consider spreading the cost of your surgery by opting for a monthly payment plan. See self-pay guide prices here.
We aim to make our costs as transparent as possible, but it’s important to talk everything through in detail with your consultant at the time of your appointment. If you have insurance, we can arrange a direct settlement with your insurance provider but do encourage you to check in advance to see if your treatment is covered.
