- Urologists
JAG accredited endoscopy services
The endoscopy service at Sulis Hospital has received accreditation from the Joint Advisory Group (JAG). JAG is an independent regulator that assesses all endoscopy suites.
By achieving JAG accreditation, the team at Sulis Hospital offers the highest levels of patient safety.
Jennifer Anstey, Head of Nursing and AHPs at Sulis Hospital Bath praised the team for their commitment to high standards and determination to ensure our patients receive the best possible care and experience.
“We are delighted that we have achieved accreditation for another 5-year period. The assessment, which is managed by the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy, requires an extensive process including the submission of evidence surrounding best practice, quality of care, and also concludes with the addition of a site inspection."
The endoscopy unit is responsible for providing endoscopic diagnostic examinations and therapeutic treatments through a variety of procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

Accessing private healthcare is easy, whether you choose to use your private medical insurance or pay privately.
If paying privately, you may choose to consider spreading the cost of your surgery by opting for a monthly payment plan.
We aim to make our costs as transparent as possible, but it’s important to talk everything through in detail with your consultant at the time of your appointment. If you have insurance, we can arrange direct settlement with your insurance provider but do encourage you to check in advance to see if your treatment is covered.
